Every count on this page starts with the L2 voter file, a commercial compilation of the official State of Hawaiʻi voter roll, pulled from the ʻĀina Votes BigQuery warehouse (post-2024-general vintage, geocoded 2026-07-13). Registration, gender, and general/primary participation for 2018 through 2024 come straight from the state's voter history as compiled by L2. Cell phone numbers and modeled ethnicity are L2's commercial appends: phones are matched from consumer data (about 70% of District 4 voters have one; numbers shared within a household are counted once), and ethnicity is a statistical model, not self-reported. Neighborhood income comes from the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey (2020–2024 5-year estimates): each voter's registration address is geocoded to a census tract and tagged with that tract's median household income, so the income filter describes the area a voter lives in, not their own household. Costs use Solidarity Tech's pass-through billing rates ($0.014 per SMS segment, $0.04 per MMS). This page holds aggregate counts only — no names, addresses, or phone numbers. Actual send lists are generated by ʻĀina Votes and sent through Solidarity Tech.
